Jobless and just signed new lease

Two days ago I unexpectedly lost my job. My current lease expires March 31st 2011. Last month I renewed the lease that starts on April 1st 2011. Can I get out of the renewal lease? There is another part on the lease that states termination needs to be in writing 30 days in advance.
I have money to pay this and next months rent but after that if I have not found a job that pays well I will not be able to afford to live here. I am leaning towards renting a truck with the little money I do have and leaving the state. I know this will make it challenging to rent a new place if i have to break the lease without having the money to cover the costs of early termination.
