How long does a landlord have to fix water supply problem?
By jennifer
I have been having an onlgoing problem with my water supply. We have well water and the pump has gone out. It has now been a week with NO WATER coming to the house at all. I contacted them the day it happend. If this was the first time it would be understandable, but about once a month it goes out and he has to "order" something before it can be fixed. If it wasn’t for the fact that I have rental assistance I would move, regardless of the lease as not having running water is a violation of that lease. I don’t know where to turn at this point, or what I can do if anything. I have now spent Thanksgivinf, Christmas, and now mother’s day woithout water due to this probelm.

Can’t imagine a holiday without water and another holiday. It this something existing before you even moved in? Landlord has to really fix that if that’s the case. Not if its the other way around though. I read somewhere here in the RPA site that you can file a complaint and ask help with that. |

I found this link you might wanna check it out http://www.rentalprotectionagency.com/complaint_center.php. but then again maybe you just need to really talk to your landlord to see whats really going on whats the real score and what can they provide you to compensate the inconvenience. |

You should make a written request to your landlord. Make sure that you have a copy of it. It’s a proof that he knows about the problem but ignores his responsibility to fix it. So, whenever you decided to file a complaint, you already have proof. |
