do I pay for the bed bug problem

I just passed my first year lease and am on month to month now. I also just noticed that there are bed bugs coming in from somewhere. I have been bitten and have done some cursery investigation to discover that we have them in the couch and had some in the bed room. I do not have the financial means to fight them and am affraid to tell the land lord for fear he may tell me it is my responsobliity to get rid of tham. What does the law say about who is responsible and what do I do to enforce this law if in fact it is in my favor.

If the Beg Bugs were not there when you 1st moved in.
Then it would be you or your family that brought the bed bugs in.
So you are responsible. Not the landlord.
