Can my Landlord d do this

I was receiving the Landlord personal mail when I first move into the complex and later on year later I started receiving mail again address to him with my apartment number on it.  Mail from lenders, property tax statement, etc.  Once piece mail was address to me and him from the same Lender (FHC).  So I consulted with a friend and she looked on the county property website he has claim home exemption for the property like he lives there.   I do not want to be part of his illegal action.. I quite frankly this cause deep stress, becuase I do not what THE IRS will do, So there fore I decided to move.  I sent him a letter he was very nasty with me.  I told him does not deserve no rent putting me in harms way..
