Breaking lease because of losing job

By Muhammad Amir

Hi, I have a question, I recently took one apartment from 2/25/13 until 8/24 and as per the lease agreement, if I break the lease I have to tell them before 60 days and give them additional 2 months rent as liquidity damage. Then on 4/29/13 I lost my job and I don’t have money to pay that much rent, so when I talked to my property manager he told me same thing that I have to pay 2 months rent for 60 days notice and additional 2 months rent as liquidity damage.

I use to relocate a lot as my job requirement, so I want to know for future. Is there any insurance coverage for breaking rental lease in unexpected circumstances?

Thanks

Muhammad Amir
