BEING CHARGED WATER AND SEWER THAT IS NOT METERED SEPARATLEY

I’M A RENTER IN NEW HAMPSHIRE THAT JUST MOVED IN A FEW MONTHS AGO. I WAS TOLD I WAS RESPONSIBLE FORMY OWN WATER AND SEWER WITCH IS FINE UNTIL I FOUND OUT THAT MY UTILITIES ARE NOT SEPARATE FROM THE OTHER UP STAIRS APARTMENT. MY CABLE, LIGHTS, GAS AND CABLE ARE ALL TOGEATHER ON MY BILL INMY NAME AND THE WATER AND SEWER ARE ALL ON ONE BILL IN THE LANDLORDS NAME WITH NO ABILITY TO METER IT SEPARATLEY. MY LEASE ALSO SAYS THE TENANT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE TO PAY ANY UTILITIES NOT METERED SEPARATLEY SO I’MNOT SURE WAHT TO DO HERE. I’M UNDER THE UNDERSTANDING BY LAW THEY CANT CHARGE ME ELECTRIC OR WATER AND SEWER UNTIL THEY GET THEM METERED SEPARATLEY IS THAT RIGHT? HELP PLEASE

I am just learning now about the water and now wastewater charges from creekside meadows a riverstone residential group. i asked for the detail because i am in a studio apartment maybe 500 sq feet and i do not use that much water. granted, i do have my own washing machine in my unit but i always run it full and i do not do laundry every week. i also dont have a dishwasher and i live alone. … So why is my water and wastewater charges 40 bucks a month??? i dont have my own meter either and i didnt know that for years that i lived here because they used to come from viterra but for whatever reason they just add these charges (and an admin fee) to a statement of rent i receive in the mail. but never was i told that i share a meter, never was wastewater charges among my statements, and never ever has my water bill been so high it used to be 15 or 20 bucks. and why have i never seen a breakdown of my consumption? Riverstone’s Creekside meadows is the worst. I get a ton of “inspections” that just say they will be entering my apartment on wed thurs and friday during normal business hours. no reason, no nothing. the last time i was home and let them in the maintenance man was going thru my drawers, my refrigerator, i felt TOTALLY VIOLATED. So, the last inspection (had about 4 so far this year) I RECEIVED NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER and the maintenance man enters my apartment as i was NAKED running from the bathroom to my bed (remember i have a studio apartment u can see everything from the front door) and although i heard someone knock i just ignored it because i get a lot of jahova witnesses i mean every week so i dont even answer my door, but what are all these inspections??? AND TO TOP IT OFF THAT DAMN MAINTENANCE MAN DIDNT EVEN LOCK THE DOOR BEHIND HIM WHEN I YELLED “GET THE FU*K OUT!” I dont even feel safe anymore and i feel like i am getting ripped off in water and like i dont have any rights here, nor do i count as a person. |
