Annoying bass
By Momma
We moved in to our apt 2 months ago. Since day 2 we have had bass issues with the down stairs tenants. Its almost a daily thing. We had called and called the management office (as well as trying to talk with the tenants our selves) and nothing happend until I contacted their boss. They sent some one out on a day where things were quieter than normal. They told them to adjust the bass. Now about a week later I went in and told the manager I could hear it again. She said are you sure its not your other neighbors and that she’d be out to check it out. She never came. Now today 2 days later the tenants are back with it loud again and I called and and hour and a half later no one has come. Do I have any legal action I can take? The lease we signed was the average lease I have seen everywhere.

Momma, I feel your pain. I’ve had to suffer through irresponsible neighbors and landlords for years. People these days are pretty much uncivilized savages who never learned any type of manners at home and just don’t give a damn about anyone but themselves. What I’ve experienced is that the apartment manager might be responsive to such a complaint the first time and maybe a second time, but after that, they just consider YOU the annoyance and not the ones who make life miserable. I even had my former apartment manager terminate my lease for complaining about the constant noise. I had lived in the apt for 10 years and was the quietest, most respectable neighbor one could ever have. These are the days when good is bad and bad is good and I see it every day. The only way I know to cure the problem is either move to a “hopefully” quieter place like a senior place (but I’ve found that even some seniors have no respect for their neighbors) or figure out when the thugs actually go to sleep. If you conclude that they might be in a deep sleep about 4am, get yourself a boat air horn at Wally World and blast the hell out of it on a nightly basis. Just blast it a couple of times so that it will wake them up and by the time they come to their senses, they can’t determine where it came from. Give them a taste of their own medicine. This is lowdown and dirty, but your landlord doesn’t give a damn about your welfare. |
