Without Gas for over a month

On June 1, 2013, me and my son almost died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. We had been unaware for over a month that we were being poisoned. The Fire Dept shut off the gas and the gas company red tagged the gas appliances which were not to be used until the problem was resolved. My son and I had both been to the hospital numerous times and high levels of CO were found in our systems on the final day, June 1, 2013 when we went. My landlord had a plumber come to the house 3 days after the CO was detected AND reported and they said they found nothing wrong. The landlord had the gas turned back on, however, the gas company came back out the next day to shut it off until he adhered to their orders to locate and fix the problem. 

Since then, I have paid my rent, including funds for the gas, but to no avail, I’ve been without gas for 35 days. My landlord has posted an eviction notice on my door, which is illegal until he goes thru the courts and he refuses to have an HVAC tech come back out here to find the problem and fix it. I have not paid my rent this month, but I was going to go to the court house on Monday, July 8th to have the money put in escrow until he fixes the problem. 
Any suggestions on what else I can do?
