Problem with landlord in general

My landlord just shows up with not notice at all hours of the day and night. He likes to especially come when I am not home. We are currently on a month to month lease after finishing our 1 year lease. He was given $500.00 deposit at move in. At this point there is some damages he wants fixed, and is demanding I pay for them outside of the $500.00 and we are still living there and aren’t moving for atleast a few months. My questions are:
What is the legal amount of time he has to give a notice for?
And even if he is repairing stuff before we move out shouldn’t that be deducted from the deposit?

They should have handed you an eviction notice no less than 45 days. |
