co-signer

By

I am currently renting a house with my family and we have been here for 2 years. We have a co-signer on our lease and our lease is up this month. We have paid our rent on time and have been great tenants. We want to re-lease the house again for another year but want the co-signer dropped from the lease. Does it look better to have the co-signer off the lease? I ask because we will be renting another house after the 1 year lease extension is up and we were wondering if it looks better to a future landlord if we have no co-signer for the 1 year lease extension to show we can make our payments on time without a co-signer?

Yes. It shouldn’t be a problem at all and might work to your advantage to do so.
